Day 4 was planned to be straightforward but there were some challenging little tricks that tripped me up. The video is a little longer due to those trips than is related to actual work. Here is the rendering of where we are supposed to get to at the end of Day 4.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The focus of the build today was to get the rings on the main corridor, the side corridors and the communication array. The sixth protrusion from this cluttered intersection on the bottom will be completed after the top half of the ship has its outer hull on. The current length of the bottom provides a stable platform on which to work on the top half of the ship. The truss structure on the communication array was extended and spacers were added. These spacers go on the inside of the trusses and connect directly to the rings as the rings for the communication array is slightly smaller than the corridor rings and as such as different requirements for connection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The rings for the corridor sections have to be added is a specific way so that beams, bushings and axles all align without stress. It took my brain a few attempts to figure out the how this all was supposed to be set up and during Day 3, I put a few bushing in the wrong spots which create confusion and required some fixing today.
